Location

ST10 is located on the side of the neck, about halfway between the lower jaw and the base of the neck, in front of the sternocephalicus muscle.

ST10 is used to ease breathing, relieve coughing, and release tension in the throat area.

Medical information

ST10 is located on the line between the angle of the lower jaw and the thoracic outlet, just in front of the brachiocephalicus muscle, at the upper third of the neck.

ST10 is used to treat dyspnea, cough, laryngeal edema, and local swellings. It influences Qi circulation in the neck region and can be helpful in cases of upper respiratory tract stagnation.

ST10 is located directly above the common carotid artery and vagus nerve. Deep needling or strong stimulation should be avoided to prevent hematoma or nerve injury.
