Use SP8 with caution, especially in weakened or pain-sensitive horses. Always consult a professional if unsure.

Medical information

SP8 is located on the Spleen meridian, 3 cun distal to the medial knee joint, in a depression on the medial border of the tibia.

SP8 is a Xi-cleft point, mainly used for acute pain and dysmenorrhea. It regulates blood, resolves stasis, and supports the spleen’s transformation and transportation functions.

For SP8, special caution is needed in horses with local inflammation or trauma. Stimulation should be gentle to avoid causing additional discomfort.
