Pe5 is located on the pericardium meridian, between the tendons of the flexor carpi radialis and palmaris longus muscles, 3 cun proximal to the carpus.

Pe5 is used to treat arrhythmias, emotional disorders, chest pain, and to clear heat from the pericardium.

When needling Pe5, be aware of the proximity to tendons and vessels. Avoid deep insertion to prevent injury.
