LI13 is located at the junction between the last rib arch and the lumbar musculature, approximately at the level of the last rib.

LI13 is located at the distal end of the last rib, ventral to the lumbar musculature, on the line between the last costal arch and the tuber coxae.

LI13 regulates liver and spleen Qi, harmonizes the middle and lower abdominal regions, and is used for stagnation, bloating, and chronic digestive disorders.

LI13 is located in close proximity to the abdominal cavity and spleen; deep or improper needling may cause organ injury. Use caution in horses with a thin abdominal wall.
