Location

Liv1 is located on the inside of the hind limb, right at the coronary band of the hoof, at the medial corner.

Medical information

Liv1 is located at the medial coronary band of the hind hoof, immediately distal to the medial hoof cartilage.

Liv1 is used to clear liver heat, calm wind, and promote free Qi flow in the liver meridian. Indications include acute colic, genital disorders, and hoof problems.

Liv1 is highly sensitive and should be treated with fine needles and minimal stimulation. Caution is advised in cases of inflammation or local injury.
