Yindu (KI19) is an acupuncture point on the Kidney meridian in horses. It is commonly used to support kidney function and address abdominal issues.

Location

Yindu (KI19) is located on both sides of the abdomen, about 0.5 cun lateral to the midline and 5 cun cranial to the umbilicus.

KI19 is located 0.5 cun lateral to the ventral midline, 5 cun cranial to the umbilicus, at the level of the 13th intercostal space.

KI19 tonifies Kidney Qi, regulates the lower and middle Jiao, supports fluid transformation, and can be used for abdominal pain, diarrhea, and edema.

KI19 is in close proximity to the peritoneum and intestines. Caution is required with deep needling to avoid risk of perforation.
